Scope of this policy
TargetBound Sports Ltd (we, us or our) explains here the cookies and similar technologies used on our website, targetboundsports.com (the Website). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
We keep cookies to a minimum. We use only first-party cookies. Most are needed to run the Website and our shop, or remember a preference you have set. One remembers which of our own links you arrived by, so that we can learn which of our posts and adverts lead to visits and orders. You can switch that one off at any time. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our visitor analytics is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies at all.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting; third-party cookies are set by another organisation. Cookies do not normally identify you by name. Where any information we hold about you is linked to a cookie, it is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Do we ask for your consent?
Most of the cookies we set are strictly necessary to operate the Website and process your order, or they remember a choice you have actively made (such as your language). Under UK and EU rules, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. One cookie is neither: tb_src, which remembers which of our own links you arrived by. We do not show a cookie consent banner for it. Instead you can switch it off at any time, with the control further down this page or with your browser’s do-not-track setting. Our analytics sets no cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser at any time, though some features such as the cart and correct local pricing may then not work as intended.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the Website and which pages are popular. It is designed to be privacy-friendly: it does not set any cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not build a profile of you. No personally identifying information is collected for analytics. The name of the link you arrived by is not passed to it.

Your basket is kept in your browser’s session storage while you shop. It is not a cookie. It stays in your browser until you check out. It is gone when you close the tab.
When you proceed to checkout you pay on a page run by our payment provider, Stripe, which sets its own strictly necessary cookies to process your payment securely. These are essential to completing a purchase.
The cookie that remembers which link brought you here
When you arrive through one of our own links (for example a post, an advert or an email from us), we remember which link for 30 days, in a first-party cookie called tb_src. We do this to learn which of our posts and adverts lead to visits and orders. Without it, a visitor who comes back later and buys would show up as having come from nowhere.
The cookie holds the name of the link and nothing else about you. We do not share it with anyone else. We do not use it to advertise to you or to follow you to other websites.
You can switch it off at any time. Use the control below, or turn on the do-not-track or Global Privacy Control setting in your browser. If you use the control we delete the cookie and set a small one (tb_src_off) that remembers your choice for 12 months. A link that carries a discount still gives you the discount.

This deletes the tb_src cookie and stops us setting it again in this browser. It changes nothing else. A link that carries a discount still gives you the discount.
At the moment we remember which of our own links you arrive by.
We do not use advertising or targeting cookies or social-media tracking cookies. We do not share cookie data with anyone for advertising.
